Question

A cone has the radius of 2 yards and the height of 6 yards. Find the volume of the cone. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

  1.  25 yards3
  2. 20.5 yards3
  3.  23.07 yards3
  4.  25.13 yards3

hintHint:

Volume of Cone   =   1 third πr squared straight h

The correct answer is:  25.13 yards3

    Given a Cone with radius of 2 yards and the height of 6 yards.
    Volume = ? .

    Volume of Cone   =   1 third πr squared straight h
     taking pi = 3.14
    putting the values
    volume = 1 third cross times 3.14 cross times 2 squared cross times 6  = 25.13 y3
    So , 25.13 yards3 is right answer .
