Question

Kim drew a quadrilateral and a hexagon. How many sides did she draw in all?

  1. 10
  2. 9
  3. 8
  4. 7

hintHint:

Kim drew a quadrilateral and a hexagon, Find the Number of sides in each polygon and add the Number of sides in each polygon to find total Number of sides.

The correct answer is: 10

A quadrilateral is a closed shape and a type of polygon that has four sides, four vertices and four angles.
Number of sides in a quadrilateral = 4
A hexagon can be defined as a closed two-dimensional polygon with six sides. Hexagon has 6 vertices and 6 angles also.
Number of sides in a hexagon = 6
Total Number of sides = Number of sides in a quadrilateral + Number of sides in a hexagon
    = 4+ 6
    = 10
Therefore, Kim drew 10 sides in all.
