Question
The height of Jacob, Rafael, James and Robert is 5 feet 3 inches, 5 feet 6 inches, 158 cm and 1.60 mts respectively. If they are arranged in the increasing order, then the third person from the starting will be
- Jacob
- Rafael
- James
- Robert
Hint:
In the given question we have to arrange the heights and then see who is the third person from starting. But first we have to covert all the measurements into cm to compare all the measurements. To convert feet to cm we have to multiply feet with 30.48 as 1 foot = 30.48 cm. To convert inch to cm we have to multiply inches with 2.54 as 1 inch = 2.54. To convert m to cm we have to multiply m with 100 as 1m = 100 cm.
The correct answer is: Jacob
Height of Jacob 5 feet 3 inches in cm = cm
=160.02cm
Height of Rafael 5 feet 6 inches in cm =
= 167.64 cm
Height of James = 158 cm
Height of Robert 1.60m in cm =
= 160 cm
Arranging in increasing order :- 158, 160, 160.02, 167.64
Third person from the starting will be Jacob.
