Prove that triangles AEB and CED are congruent, provided that AB || CD. Name the postulate that you used.
Hint:
Alternative interior angles are equal.
The correct answer is: two Angles and an included Side of triangle AEB are congruent to two Angles and the included Side of triangle CED. It means that triangles are congruent by ASA congruency postulate. Hence Proved
In the figure,
(\vertically opposite angles)
(\ alternative interior angles)
And side BE = ED (included side)
i.e. two Angles and an included Side of triangle AEB are congruent to two Angles and the included Side of triangle CED. It means that triangles are congruent by ASA congruency postulate.
