Question

A medium-sized orange can make 55 ml of juice. A large orange can make 85 ml of juice. Amelia wanted to make 2.5 L of juice, so she bought 21 medium oranges and 15 large oranges. Does she have enough oranges to make 2.5 L of juice?

  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. Can't define
  4. Data not sufficient

The correct answer is: No

    21 x 55 ml + 15 x 85 ml = 1,155 ml + 1275 ml  = 2,430 ml
    Now, 2,430 ml = 2.43 L
    Here, 2.375 L < 2.5 L
She does not have enough oranges to make 2.5 L of juice.

    21 medium sized oranges can make= 21 x 55 ml= 1155 ml
    15 large sized oranges can make= 15 x 85 = 1275 ml
Total= 1275 + 1155 = 2430 ml juice. Which is less than 2500 ml. so, the answer is No.
