About Exam
The PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and even the ACT. PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships.
Evaluation pattern
The redesigned PSAT is scored on a scale between 320 and 1520. It is Scored on a range from 160 to 760 for Math and 160 to 760 for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. PSAT gives no penalties for wrong answers.

3 hrs
The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions.
The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student’s readiness for college and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. College admissions officers’ reviews standardized test scores alongside your

- Classes taken in high school,
- Letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors,
- Extracurricular activities,
- Admissions interviews, and
- Personal essays.
Evaluation pattern
The scaled score of between 200 and 800 is converted from the raw score earned on each section. Raw score is simply the number of questions you answered correctly. Skipped or wrong questions do not add or subtract from your raw score.
