Given fractions are
$2 over 5$ and $4 over 6$
Step 1 :
fraction1 = numerator1 x denominator2 = 2 x 6 = 12
Step 2 :
fraction2 = numerator2 x denominator1 = 4 x 5 = 20
Step 3 :
On comparing we get
fraction1 < fraction2 as 12 < 20
So , $2 over 5$ < $4 over 6$
