      Irregular shapes are those shapes that do not have equal sides or equal angles. In order to find the area of an irregular shape, it can be decomposed or divided into multiple familiar shapes and then the area of those can be added to get the total area.

      The above given figure is an example of irregular shapes.
      Thus, we divide the above shape into a rectangle of sides 4cm cross times 11cm and rectangle of side 4cm cross times6cm
      Area of rectangle A= 6 × 4 = 24 square cm
      Area of rectangle B = 11 × 4 = 44 square cm
      Total area = 24 + 44 = 68 square cm
