Given equations
x + y = 5 .....(1)
2x – 3y = 4 .......(2)
step 1 :
calculate x from eq. 1
x + y = 5 implies x = 5 -y
step 2 :
put value of x from eq. 1 into two
2(5-y) - 3y = 4
10 - 2y - 3y = 4
10 -4 = 5y
y = 6/5 = 1.2
step 3 :
x + 1.2 = 5
x = 5-1.2 = 3.8
So , a = 1.2 and b = 3.8 , NONE of the Above as no option matches .
