There are four operations in mathematics which we can use while solving a problem, one of them is multiplication. Multiplication is the repeated addition of the same number a number of times. It is also known as a method of finding product of two or more numbers by multiplying them. Here, we have to find the solve the word problem using multiplication.
The correct answer is: 24
In the question it is given that,
Total number of rows = 3
Total number of flowers in each row = 8
Here, we have to find the total number of flowers Mr. Jensen has planted.
So, the total number of flowers = 8×3 = 24.
Therefore, the correct option is b, i.e., 24.
For simple multiplication we have to remember the multiplication table of one-digit numbers and for two-digit number we can find it using the multiplication table of one-digit numbers. Here, we have to find the product of one digit number.
