Question

The difference between these two cans is that

  1. 5l200ml
  2. 3l200ml
  3. 7l200ml
  4. 8l200ml

hintHint:

Liter (L) and Mililiters are units of measurement of volume, generally used to measure liquids.
1 l = 1,000 ml.

The correct answer is: 8l200ml

    GIVEN-
    Quantity 1- 30l and 500 ml = (30 * 1,000)ml + 500 ml = 30,000 ml + 500 ml = 30,500 ml ...... (1l = 1,000 ml) ......... (Equation i)
    Quantity 2- 22l and 300 ml = (22 * 1,000)ml + 300 ml = 22,000 ml + 300 ml = 22,300 ml ...... (1l = 1,000 ml) ......... (Equation ii)
    TO FIND-
    Difference between the 2 quantities.
    SOLUTION-
    Difference between the 2 quantities = Quantity 1 - Quantity 2
    ∴ Difference between the 2 quantities = 30,500 ml - 22,300 ml ........................ (From Equations i & ii)
    ∴ Difference between the 2 quantities = 8,200 ml
    ∴ Difference between the 2 quantities = 8,000 ml + 200 ml
    ∴ Difference between the 2 quantities = 8 l + 200 ml ......................................... (1 l = 1,000 ml)
    Final Answer:-
Option 'd' i.e. '8l200ml' is the correct answer to the given question.
