Question

If stack a with rightwards arrow on top and stack b with rightwards arrow on top are two unit vectors such that (stack a with rightwards arrow on top+ 2stack b with rightwards arrow on top) & (5stack a with rightwards arrow on top– 4stack b with rightwards arrow on top) are perpendicular to each other then angle between stack a with rightwards arrow on top and stack b with rightwards arrow on top is-

  1. 45°
  2. 60°
  3. cos–1open parentheses fraction numerator 1 over denominator 3 end fraction close parentheses
  4. cos–1 open parentheses fraction numerator 2 over denominator 7 end fraction close parentheses

The correct answer is: 60°

    (stack a with ̄ on top+ 2stack b with ̄ on top). (5stack a with ̄ on top– 4stack b with ̄ on top) = 0
     5 – 8 + 6 cos  = 0  cos  = fraction numerator 1 over denominator 2 end fraction
