We have given the value of f(x) = 0.2
0.2 = 0.5x/ x2- 1
0.2(x2- 1) = 0.5x
0.2x2- 0.2 – 0.5x = 0
2x2 – 5x – 2 = 0
= 2.85
= 3
After 3 hours the concentration of salt in water will be 0.2.
0.2(x2- 1) = 0.5x
0.2x2- 0.2 – 0.5x = 0
2x2 – 5x – 2 = 0
= 2.85
= 3
