Question

Find the GCF (GCD) of the given pair of monomials.
14 x to the power of 10 y to the power of 8 space & 15 x to the power of 6 y to the power of 9

hintHint:

  • The highest number that divides exactly into two or more numbers is known as GCF.
  • An algebraic expression consisting only one term is called monomial.

The correct answer is: The GCF 14x10y8 ,15x6y9 is x6.y8.

    • We have been given a monomial in the question
    • We have to find the GCF of the given pair of monomials.
    Step 1 of 1:
We have given two monomials 14 x to the power of 10 y to the power of 8 comma space 15 x to the power of 6 y to the power of 9.

14 x to the power of 10 y to the power of 8 equals 14 cross times x to the power of 6 cross times x to the power of 4 cross times y to the power of 8

15 x to the power of 6 y to the power of 9 equals 15 cross times x to the power of 6 cross times y to the power of 8 cross times y
So, The highest factor in these two monomial is x to the power of 6 cross times y to the power of 8.
    So, The GCF 14x10y8 ,15x6y9 is x6.y8.
