The correct answer is: -12 N


    • Force = mass × acceleration. In given diagram, applying force is towards right direction that is 52 N. 
    • So, it would be positive.
    • And the force applied towards left direction would be negative that is 64 N as it is opposite to applied force.
    • Formula for net force is sum of all force. F = F+ F2 . 
    • Net force = 52 N + (-64).
    • Net force = -12 N.
