Question
The weights of the students during the health camp in the school are measured. The weights are as follows:
Sarah – 42.8 kg
Caroline – 45.7 kg
Catherine – 36.4 kg
Sam – 41.8 kg
If the weight below 42.5 is considered as underweight, then the number of students in the underweight category is/are
- 0
- 1
- 2
- 3
Hint:
We have to find the number of students who are underweight i.e. their weight is below 42.5 , as we can see that 42.8 and 45.7 are greater than 42.5 where as 41.8 and 36.4 are smaller than 42.5 So, we can easily count the number of students who are underweight.
The correct answer is: 2
As 41.8 and 36.4 is smaller than 42.5
So, 2 students are underweight.
