Question

From x to the power of 3 end exponent minus 3 x to the power of 2 end exponent plus x subtract negative x to the power of 3 end exponent plus 3 x to the power of 2 end exponent minus x

  1. negative 2 x to the power of 3 end exponent minus 6 x to the power of 2 end exponent minus 2 x
  2. 2 x to the power of 3 end exponent minus 3 x to the power of 2 end exponent minus x
  3. 2 x to the power of 3 end exponent minus 6 x to the power of 2 end exponent minus x
  4. 2 x to the power of 3 end exponent minus 6 x to the power of 2 end exponent plus 2 x

hintHint:

We are given two equations. We have to perform operation between them.

The correct answer is: 2 x to the power of 3 end exponent minus 6 x to the power of 2 end exponent plus 2 x

The given equations are as follows:
    x3 - 3x2 + x           ...(1)
          -x3 +3x2 - x           ...(2)
We have to subtract (2) from (1)
         x3 - 3x+ x - ( -x+ 3x- x) = x3 - 3x2 + x + x3 - 3x2 + x
                                                            = x3 + x3 - 3x2 - 3x2 + x + x
                                                           = 2x3 - 6x2 + 2x
We took the like terms together means terms having same variable and power together and performed operation between them.
    The final answer is 2x3 -6x2 + 2x
