Ticket Prices by Row Number

The price of a ticket to a play is based on the row the seat is in, as shown in the table above. A group wants to purchase 10 tickets for the play.
They will purchase 3 tickets for seats in row 1 .
They will purchase 2 tickets for seats in row 3 .
They will purchase 2 tickets for seats in row 4 .
They will purchase 3 tickets for seats in row 12 .
What is the average (arithmetic mean) ticket price, in dollars, for the 10 tickets? (Disregard the $ sign when gridding your answer.)

The correct answer is: $20


    HINT: Find the price of 10 tickets each and then find the average.
    Complete step by step solution:
    Total number of tickets the group wants to purchase = n = 10
    Price of 3 tickets for seats in row 1 = 3 × 25 = 75 (ticket price for row 1 is $ 25)
    Price of 2 tickets for seats in row 3 = 2 × 20 = 40 (ticket price for row 3 is $ 20)
    Price of 2 tickets for seats in row 4 = 2 × 20 = 40 (ticket price for row 4 is $ 20)
    Price of 3 tickets for seats in row 12 = 3 × 15 = 45 (ticket price for row 12 is $ 15)
    So total amount = $75 + $40 + $40 + $45 = $200
    We know the formula for arithmetic mean is straight A equals 1 over straight n sum from straight i equals 1 to straight n of   straight a subscript straight i
    Where, A is arithmetic mean, n is number of values and ai is data set values.
