Abby Uses two Social media sites. She has 52 more followers on Site A than on Site B. How many followers does she have on each site ?

let the no.of followers on site A and B be x and y respectively.

The correct answer is: The no.of followers on site A and B be 376 and 324 respectively.

Using the given conditions frame the system of equations and solve them to get the no.of followers in both the social media sites.
Ans :- no.of followers on site A = x = 376 ; no.of followers on site B = y = 324
Explanation :-
let the no.of followers on site A and B be x and y respectively.
Step 1:- frame the system of linear equations from given conditions.
700 total followers for both social media sites (from diagram)
I.e $x plus y equals 700$ —Eq1
She has 52 more followers on Site A than on Site B
I.e $x equals 52 plus y$ —Eq2
Step 2:- find y by substituting Eq2 in Eq1 .
$x plus y equals 700 not stretchy rightwards double arrow y plus 52 plus y equals 700$
$2 y equals 700 minus 52 not stretchy rightwards double arrow 2 y equals 648$
∴ y = 324
Step 3:- find the value of x by substituting value of y
$x equals y plus 52 not stretchy rightwards double arrow x equals 324 plus 52$
∴ x = 376
∴The no.of followers on site A and B be 376 and 324 respectively
