    we have to use the standard algorithm to find the multiplication so we will first break the bigger number into small numbers that can be easily multiplied to get the result . So we will divide 48 as follows :
    32 space cross times 48 space equals space 32 space cross times left parenthesis 40 plus 8 right parenthesis
    Step2 :

    Now we will use the distributive property to multiply this :
    32 space cross times left parenthesis 40 plus 8 right parenthesis space equals space left parenthesis 32 cross times 40 right parenthesis space plus space left parenthesis 32 plus 8 right parenthesis
    Step3:
    Now we will do simple multiplication of 32 space cross times space 40 space and 32 cross times 8
 which are as follows :
    32 space cross times 40 space equals space 1280 and 32 space cross times 8 space equals space 256
    Step4:
    Now we have to add these numbers.
    left parenthesis 32 space cross times space 40 right parenthesis space plus space left parenthesis 32 space cross times space 8 right parenthesis space equals space 1280 space plus space 256
