The correct answer is: ‘h’ units and vertically by ‘k’ units.


    In the figure, it is given that the downright vertex of the square is moved horizontally by h units and vertically by k units. In translation, when a figure or shape is displaced every point of the figure is displaced by same units.
    Hence, each co-ordinate (x, y) of the blue square gets translated horizontally by ‘h’ units and vertically by ‘k’ units.
