Question
Find the area and perimeter of the inner court
Hint:
Given , the side lengths of the rectangular outer court. Find the side lengths of the rectangular inner court then Find the perimeter and area of inner court
The correct answer is: The perimeter of the inner court is 34 m and the area of the inner court is 66 sq.m
ANS :- The perimeter of the inner court is 34 m and the area of the inner court is 66 sq.m .
Explanation :-
Given , length and breadth of the rectangular outer courtare 13 m and 8 m respectively.
The length and breadth of the rectangular inner courtare 13 - 2(1) m and 8 - 2(1) m respectively.
L = 13 - 2 = 11 m and B = 8 - 2 = 6 m
Perimeter of rectangle = 2(L + B) = 2(11+6) = 2(17) = 34 m
Area of rectangle = L B = 11 × 6 = 66 sq. m
∴The perimeter of the inner court is 34 m and the area of the inner court is 66 sq. m.
