Hint:
1. When we compare 2 fraction, we check which one of the 2 is larger and which one is smaller and accordingly, assign the appropriate inequality sign i.e. greater than > or less than < to the 2 fractions.
2. If the denominators of the 2 fractions are different, we find the LCM of the denominator and multiply the denominators to make them equal to the LCM and then compare the numerators.

SOLUTION-
From the given information, we observe that-
The denominators of both the fractions are different i.e. 8 & 6.
Hence, find the LCM of 8 & 6 i.e. 24.
We make the denominators equal to 24 as-
Fraction 1 = 2/8 = 2*3 / 8*3 = 6/24 ....................................... (Multiplying numerator and denominator by 3)
Fraction 2 = 2/6 = 2*4 / 6*4 = 8/24 ....................................... (Multiplying numerator and denominator by 4)
Now, the denominators are same, we compare the numerators as-
6 < 8
∴ 6/24 < 8/24
∴ 2/8 < 2/6
FINAL ANSWER-
Option 'd' i.e. '<' is the correct answer to the given question.
