When a point (2, -4) is rotated counter-clockwise about the origin. Find the coordinate after the rotation of 90 rotation.

Hint:
after 4 rotation which is equal to 360 degree it again come to same place
so actual rotation = remainder of = rotation divide by 4 = 90 divide by 4 = 2 remainder
The correct answer is: (4, 2)
there are total of 90 rotations , but after 4 rotation it come again to same state
so effective number of rotations = remainder of ( rotations/4 ) = remainder( 90/4 ) = 2
so , there are 2 , effective rotations
For a rotation of 90o, (a, b) → (-b, a).
For again a rotation of 90, (-b, a) → (-a, -b).
(2, -4)→ (4, 2)
(4, 2) → ( -2 , 4 )
( -2 , 4 ) , is the final position after 90 rotations each of 90 degrees .
